Operation Christmas Child

Posted on Oct 14 2012 - 8:06pm

Believe it or not, it’s that time of the year to starting thinking about- CHRISTMAS!!! Pack 201 again, will be involved with OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD! This is a heartwarming way to help needy children!  Operation Christmas child collects shoes boxes that are packed with items for either a boy or a girl. Its then wrapped and sent off to a 3rd world country where a boy or girl will receive this special gift just in time for Christmas!  I have attached a flyer that will help you understand it a bit more. I also will have these forms and more information at our next Pack meeting- October 18th.  I just wanted to give you all the heads up, that if you would like to build a shoe box for this wonderful program, than  you can get started today! The shoe boxes will be due at our November pack meeting!

Cub Haunt 2012

Posted on Oct 3 2012 - 7:53am

Hello Scouters!

We will be going to Cub Haunt again this year, which is October 26th - 28th.  If you are interested and available, go on-line (http://www.vhcbsa.org/camping/cubon.htm) for more information and (http://www.bookking.ca/bkvhcbsapub/index.asp) to register. The cost is $40 per person, or $20 if you just want to day-camp on Saturday. There are still 381 openings available as of Wednesday 10/3. Meals will be provided as part of the fees.

This is one of the easiest "roughing-it" camping trips you'll ever take. This is also the only place for your Cub to earn the Archery and BB Gun belt loops. Please see below for a (hopefully) helpful tutorial on registering.

Tutorial:

You'll need a username and password to login.  If you have already used this site for previous camping registration, just log in. Otherwise, you'll need top create a new account.

I've heard from some parents the process is not intuitive.  Good luck.

9. Choose the appropriate option in Select Rate for each person
10.  Click checkout and pay.
